Robomagellan is a robotics competition where the main goal is to have the robotic car autonomously move to specific points in a large grassy field. The points are marked with orange traffic cones which are laid out on a course with buildings and other obstacles in your way and the car finds these cones using GPS. If that was not difficult enough, you also have to do it as quickly as possible since the team with the fastest time wins. This challenge is heavily oriented towards programming as the team with the best artificial intelligence usually wins. The Robomagellan team placed 2nd place at Robogames in 2012 and 2015.
