Cyberpatriot

CyberPatriots is a cybersecurity team at PVHS that is dedicated to solving everyday digital security challenges by learning how to protect computers and network systems. Meeting every Wednesday at lunch and working in small groups, we learn how to secure digital information by figuring out weaknesses and using defensive strategies. At each practice, teams work on Windows, Cisco, and Linux to research the vulnerabilities. This collaborative environment helps learn from each other while building both technical skills and teamwork.

Each year, we participate in competitions available for middle and high school students. During these competitions, we interpret puzzles, find vulnerabilities, and test the knowledge of networking concepts.

Cyberpatriots overall emphasize on gaining experience that can develop problem-solving skills and a supportive community. As one of the fastest growing programs at PVHS, CyberPatriots give students an introduction to cybersecurity and the chance to take on challenges faced in modern technology.
